Coaching

Offering the feedback and tools you need to improve your leadership capacity based on your personal goals and objectives.

The Ability To Understand You

My coaching involves the ability to understand you: to think how you think and understand your perspective. From this benchmark, I will place another perspective on top of yours – stretching and growing you to gently see a more empowering way. Coaching is foreseeing, paving the way, coming alongside you while helping you achieve goals and overcome limiting paradigms.

Individual Coaching

ONE ON ONE PRIVATE & CONFIDENTIAL COACHING

When I am working with you one-on-one, it is my highest objective to help you reach your purpose, vision and goals by working through John Maxwell’s programs specific to your needs. Together, we will create a strategic, powerful plan for you to gain clarity through a weekly process including interaction and accountability.

Group Coaching

SMALL SETTING ONSITE OR WEBINAR & VIDEO

When I am working in a group setting, having the entire group’s input in thinking magnifies the richness of the discussions and results in developing solutions that are above and beyond what any individual can create. The cohesive bond that is formed empowers each person to develop the leader within and shine in a safe environment that nurtures the group as a whole. It is an experience unlike any other and follows the same premise as an academic think tank.

  • Leadership is influence and everyone influences someone. When you start to be intentional about growing yourself and the relationships around you, things naturally get better.

Oftentimes, we buy into the lie that leadership is simply positional but it’s not. If you’ve ever been a part of an organization in which people say “that’s not my job”, you may be in a positional leadership environment.

People in a positional leadership environment only follow the leaders in the organization because they have to.

My job is to help you and your team move beyond a positional leadership mindset and into one of influence and moral authority (people follow you because they want to).

  • There are many reasons that an individual or team might choose to work with a coach, including:

    • There is something at stake: a challenge, stretch goal or opportunity

    • There is a gap in knowledge, skills, confidence, or resources

    • There is a desire to accelerate results

    • There is a lack of clarity, and there are choices to be made

    • Work and life are out of balance, and this is creating unwanted consequences

    • One has not identified his or her core strengths and how best to leverage them

  • Studies show that it takes 2 years to see a work culture improve. My desire is to help you transform the culture of your team by equipping you with ongoing tools for growth.

My level of involvement looks different for each client relationship as I really listen to what each team needs from me as their coach. Along the way we will evaluate your team’s needs and desired areas for growth to ensure we are taking the right steps to get there.

  • Yes. As a certified Maxwell DISC trainer, I have access to assessments that can help you in the process of recruiting quality talent.

The Maxwell Benchmark and Interview Report helps you to establish a benchmark in which you can assess, evaluate, and compare the strengths of a potential member to the current strengths and standards of the team.

This report will provide you specific interview questions based on how close the potential team member is to the current benchmarks you have created.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work with teams of all sizes ranging from 5 team members up to 50.

  • After our 45 minute discovery call I will put together a proposal for you to look at which will include options for a first engagement based on your budget and desired goals. Once we agree upon a service option I will then invoice you.

I accept checks, ACH, and also provide payment links with a service fee. All payments must be submitted prior to the rendering of services as I have to account for preparation on the front end.

  • Because every industry is different, I recognize that finding time to meet with your team can be a challenge. I do my best to work with your schedule so that we can arrange training that adds value while also honoring everyone’s time.

I offer training options from 1-2.5 hrs. The same applies for frequency of meetings. For ongoing series, I schedule those weekly or bi-weekly.

  • Studies show that leaders who invest into their teams experience increased productivity, improved morale, increased levels of engagement and effective feedback.

By bringing out the best in your team, they in turn feel motivated to perform at a higher level.

What Clients Are Saying

  • I highly recommend Alexa and the Leadership Training & Team Building DISC Workshop. It has been an eye-opening experience for us as we learned more about ourselves and our teammates we work alongside every day. We originally had just our bank officers participate in the DISC assessments and workshop but found the experience so valuable that we added all members of our commercial and private banking teams to this program so we can all better communicate with one another moving forward. It has really helped us to understand that our differing personality and communications styles cumulatively create a better organization; therefore, removing obstacles to reaching our goals!

    – Andy Kattos, Regional President & CEO, ServisFirst Bank

  • Alexa is an amazing facilitator. She was able to apply the principles of John Maxwell to a medical setting with no medical background herself. She showed us these principles are universal.

—Dr. Anne Marie Reidy, Owner, Women4Women

  • Alexa conducted a leadership game for our BOMA of North Alabama members in mid-2021. As one of our first in person meetings post COVID-19 (2020), Alexa knocked it out of the park. Our members were engaging with one another and honing in on the core values of leadership. Several members have requested another luncheon with Alexa in the near future!

    —Shelby Smith, BOMA (Leadership Game)

  • "The Leading through Crisis group was more timely than I could have imagined. Navigating the nuances of working in a pandemic were made much easier, and even fun, because of this group. I loved connecting with other leaders and exchanging ideas for how to best capitalize on this unique time in business. John’s teachings are exceptional and Alexa did a fantastic job diving deeper into the content and pushing us toward growth. I left the group with new connections and took a next step by joining Alexa’s Leadershift course to push myself even further. I highly recommend investing in yourself and your leadership by taking this course!"

    -Lindsey Tapscott, Davidson Homes LLC

  • Growth is not a race. There is no finish line because we never stop growing. Before this class I put so much pressure on myself and where I was in life as if I had to achieve my goals within a deadline. Now it’s become a daily habit I am making to consistently learn.
